For Adults 

First impressions are a big deal and typically the first thing people notice with a resume is how it LOOKS. Having a clean, calm, attractive resume that also comes across as relevant is extremely important. I ensure the most important information *pops* off the page as employers often skim a resume in 6 - 30 seconds before determining if it's worth their time to dive in more deeply. Adding a little personality to one's story really makes a difference, too. I am big on humanizing materials and even adding a little humor or sarcasm when it’s comfortable and appropriate.

  • I offer resume re-design with light editing and content suggestions (the service includes one ATS resume + three “human” designs). Easy for employers to review and really easy for clients to edit.

  • I walk clients through a new approach to a cover letter that is short, friendly, personalized, and easily addresses all needs listed in the job description: MAGIC! (45 mins). Clients receive my notes and a sample cover letter, too.

  • I provide quick, easy ways to be well-prepared and less stressed in interviews.

  • I go through a profile from the very top (profile picture and all) to the bottom and provide tips as to how the profile can be stronger and work harder. I also provide compliments and assurance when sections are just right!

  • I share the super powers of the thank you note that you might not have considered before. Some suggestions could be a game-changer saving an interview where you might have blown it.

For Teens

Having a resume when applying to summer / weekend jobs and internships might not be required, but it’s quite impressive when teens and young adults have one. Even more impressive is when they look really nice and they’re full of substance and personality.  Best of all, having a smart solid resume now will serve young people for years to come. 

  • I patiently walk young people through how to write a great resume from scratch, that’s professional yet age appropriate. They receive three designs at the end and best of all, parents and guardians can stay out of the process (if that appeals).

  • I describe how to write a solid smart cover letter: relevant, friendly and short.

  • I offer quick, easy ways to be well-prepared and not too stressed, sharing a bunch of typical questions that will likely be asked of applicants for entry-level and junior jobs.

  • I explain how to write a great thank you note and stress the importance of the thank you note, too.
